Braking mid-jump. Braking shifts the car’s balance and often makes a landing worse rather than better. Once you’re airborne, pitch control is the only useful input.

Some stretches shrink to barely wider than the car, usually right after a jump. These are where loose handling costs you most, since you land already drifting and have very little road to straighten out on.

Obstacles and traffic

Barriers, other vehicles and scenery block the fastest line. Working around them at speed is most of the challenge, because slowing down enough to be safe usually means not clearing the next jump.
